Among the most majestic places of Elden Ring we certainly find Villa Vulcano, an immense mansion on Mount Gelmir that houses the lord Rykard.
The Villa is linked to a series of highly interconnected missions that we will examine in detail in this guide.
Go to Villa Vulcano
To access Villa Vulcano you will have to climb to the top of Mount Gelmir following the various paths available and climbing the various stairs on the map.
Once you arrive at the Place of Grace called “Nono Campamento sul Mount Gelmir”You will have to climb the ladder and find yourself in the arena of a boss. This boss, an Adult Meteorite Beast, can be challenged or dropped as you will have to jump up a rocky ledge close to the arena to practically arrive at the entrance of the Villa.
An alternative method to get there is to follow Rya’s mission which we will tell you about in the next part of the guide.
Once inside the Villa you can talk to Tanith to join the Villa Vulcano faction and start the series of missions connected to it.
Rya’s mission
Rya’s mission is the most complex of those present at Villa Vulcano and begins well before arriving at the villa. You can find Rya for the first time in thePanoramic Island to Liurnia Lacustre, where she will inform you that she was robbed by a brigand.
To retrieve the stolen object from Rya you will have to head to a hut a little north of your current position, where you will find the brigand and you can decide whether to kill him or buy back the lost object from the girl.
Regardless of your choice, once you return to Rya the girl will give you the call for Villa Vulcanouseful object to become part of this faction.
You will also be able to meet the girl again near the place of grace “Hill overlooking the Mother Tree“, In the Altus Plateau, to have the possibility of being transported immediately to Villa Vulcano.
Once you arrive at Villa Vulcano you will meet Rya in one of the rooms of the villa and by talking to her you can find out more about the faction.
Once you complete Tanith’s first request during the night you will meet Rya transformed into a snake and by talking to her you can find out more about her.
You will also discover that the girl hears strange noises coming from the villa. Indeed, her assumptions are correct and in fact in the room next to her you will find a wall hidden behind a corpse.
As soon as you get outside, go back to Rya to reveal the truth, then talk to Tanith about the girl’s doubts. After this series of dialogues, continuing in the newly discovered dungeon you will arrive at the Temple of Eiglay where you can clash with the Noble Sacrederm.
Once you have beaten this enemy, you will find a key object in the temple, the Snake’s Amnium, which you will have to give to Rya to continue her mission. After a series of dialogues Rya will disappear from his position and by talking to Tanith you will get the Flask of Oblivion.
You will find Rya in a room shortly after jumping off the upper balcony of the Temple of Eiglay. In this place the girl will ask you to kill her and here you will have three choices:
- Kill Rya: this will obviously lead to the worst ending. You will be able to obtain the Amulet Pain of Daedicar, which increases the damage taken, from his corpse.
- Give her the Flask of Oblivion: in this case Rya will soon forget everything that happened and you will find her next to Tanith after defeating Rykard. After reloading the area you will find the Amulet of Daedicar’s Pain in the place where the girl was.
- Don’t kill Tanith and don’t give her the Flask of Oblivion: you will get the best end simply by walking away and thus proving that you neither want to kill Rya nor want to give her Tanith’s potion. In this way the girl will notice your kindness and she will decide to go on a trip. In her position you will find the amulet Pain of Daedicar and a letter where the girl explains her willingness to leave.
Tanith’s mission
Tanith is the leader of the faction of Villa Vulcano and, after agreeing to enter his service, she will entrust you with various tasks where you will have to kill other Lightless.
In total you will receive three assignments from Tanith, obtainable from various letters scattered around Villa Vulcano and indicated with red dots on the map.
Once you have completed the tasks around the map, you will have Tanith’s permission to meet the lord of the Mansion: Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.
Once you have beaten this boss, you can go back to talk to Tanith and inform her of her lord’s defeat. Then you will find the woman in the bossfight arena feeding on the body of her lord.
After killing her you will be attacked by the Knight of the Crucible in his defense and, after beating him, you can collect the Consort set from Tanith’s body.
Bernahl Mission
Inside the Villa you will also find Bernahl, the knight who sold various war ashes in a hut in Sepolcride.
After completing the second request for Villa Vulcano, Bernahl will also entrust you with a killing letter. Together with the knight he will have to kill two NPCs in Leyndell, the capital.
After this request Bernahl will remain at Villa Vulcano until Rykard is killed.
Once you get to Faram Azula you will meet Bernahl two more times: the first time it will be summoned for the clash with the Duo Sacrederm while the second time it will invade you shortly after the boss arena.
By beating him you will get his set and the Scepter of the Devourer, a legendary armament.
Patches Mission
The mission linked to Patches is also intertwined with the events of Villa Vulcano but given the complexity of its quest we have decided to collect it in a dedicated guide.
Diallos mission
Inside the Villa you can also meet Diallos for a short time. During these encounters, the knight will tell you very little of use except explaining how to kill Rykard.
Killed the Lord also Diallos will leave the Villa to continue his mission in Vasoburg.
