In this guide dedicated to God of War Ragnarok (here our review), we will help you find all lore notes of the game. Recovering them all is essential to recover the relevant trophy and platinum the game.
The guide obviously contains spoilers related to God of War Ragnarok, so continue at your own risk.
Wetlands of Aurvangar
On the beach to the left after unlocking the wheel, among the rocks to the right of the legendary chest (here our guide).
Nidavellir
Use the spear to open a path in the square north of the inn, you will find it next to the legendary chest (here our guide).
Baia dell’Abbondanza – Dragon Beach
To the north you will find a landing point with a Norn chest (here our guide), look at it and you will notice that on the right there is an inscription engraved on wood.
Bay of Plenty – Radasvinn Facility
On the plant platform go to the right of the area, break some crates to get the scroll.
Bay of Abundance – Alberich Island
On top of the central island.
Bay of Abundance – Althjof facility
- You will find the notes under the plant, to get there you will have to destroy the floor.
- From above the mining platform, go left and destroy some crates with sound arrows to clear the passage. Follow the path until you find the notes.
Bay of Plenty – Modvitnir Facility
When you have used the crane for the first time and passed the chasm, immediately go down to the right to find the stele with the notes.
Bay of Plenty Lingbakr Island
Follow the natural game path and, after destroying the first few chains, continue towards the path and up, before using the Blades of Chaos and going further you will find a stele on the right.
Bay of Abundance – Alberich Pit
On the right at the end of the area, before the chain you will use to go down.
The Forge
- After defeating the Dreki head right past the crevice to find the notes.
- Also in the clipboard area you will also find a writing on the wall.
Jarnsmida Mines
- You will find it along the way next to a Norn chest (here our review)
- Next to the legendary chest (our guide here) after Sindri gives you the torches.
Core
- Right after you talk to Sindri at the entrance to the area.
- After opening the first door and going through the wall, follow the path and at the fork go right. You will find some kind of wooden wall that can be destroyed, break it to find the notes.
- From the mystical passage of the area go down to a point where you will be forced to use the spear, do it and follow the path until you find the treasure map.
Midgard
MidgardDilapidated outpost
The first stele in the area will be impossible to miss, it is also found next to a raven of Odin (here our guide).
The Lost Treasure
- To access this area you will need to complete the mission The Curse of Sigrun, once this is done you will not struggle to enter the area and find the stele.
- Starting from the locked hall, you will find that there is a floor that can be broken.
Lake of the Nine
- You find this note on the remains of the spear belonging to the statue of Tyr.
- You find this inscription placed on the helmet of the statue.
- The writing is found on the remains of the bracelets of the statue of Tyr.
- To the right of the temple, on the frozen lake, is a snow covered rock that can be destroyed with the spear, do this to clear the passage and find the notes.
The Rowers
You’ll find the stele in the locked room, you’ll need to complete the environmental puzzle to access it.
Bandits’ Cove Kol
After defeating the enemies in the camp, a mini-boss will appear, kill him to be able to explore the hideout and find the notes under the snow.
Helheim
Helgrind
Follow the normal path and destroy the ice block with the spear, then step onto the platform and clear the path to find the rune carving.
Freyr’s Camp
Next to the hearth near the entrance you will find the first notes.

Wood of Barri Orientale
Leaving the camp, enter the woods and follow the road that leads to the bottleneck, towards a small cave. You will soon find a path on the right that leads to some stairs, at the top you will find the notes.
Go down the stairs just named, go left and follow the path until you have to climb the wall. Continue along the path and you will find the notes.
Abandoned village
Right in the square of Draugr’s Lair.
The second note of the area you will find it on a wall inside the temple.
Wood of Western Barri
Starting at the Celestial Altar, make it daylight and continue along the roots of the tree. Along the way you will find a stone tablet.
River Delta
From the Pilgrim’s Landing, go up the stairs until you reach a red chest, on the right are the notes.
In the blacksmith area on the right.
Pilgrim’s Landing
Left before the second bridge.
Noatun’s Garden
The notes are located to the left of the starting beach.
You will find a stele in front of the ghost.
Above the structure, to the left of the area. You can climb up to it from the left side of the wall.
Rupestrian ruins
Right after the Passo Velato area and after exiting the cave.
Goddess Falls
As soon as you pretend to climb up from the main beach, look into the cave to notice a stele.
Vanir Altar
As soon as you arrive, you will find a stele on the right.
Follow the path and after the bridge you will find another stele.
After opening the door with fires, read the writing on the wall.
In the next area to the previous one you will find another stele.
Before entering the last room on the left.
Veiled passage
You will find the notes in the only cave in the area.
The Plains
In the central square near the shop.
From where you fought the Dreki, use a short one to get to a campground where you’ll find the slab.
The last slab in the area can be found at the Seidr camp.
The Jungle
You will find the notes normally continuing in the dam quest.
You will find the writing as soon as you go down the dragon’s lair in the mission “A Trail of the Dead”.
The Chasms
The note is located along the Seidr camp.
The Strond
You will find them near the statue as soon as you arrive.
As soon as you exit the cave, go down to the left to find the stele.
Temple of Light
Just follow the path to find the notes.
Before the last door of light, you’ll need to solve an environmental puzzle to find it.
Dry Lands
As soon as you arrive in the area, go right to find a stele.
The second stele can be found in the monster’s head in the center of the map.
In the mausoleum north of the Barren Lands, pay attention that you will find two notes.
The Forbidden Sands
Finish the quest related to the statue of Freyr.
Inside the elven sanctuary you will find five notes.
Jotunheim
When you control Atreus
The first notes of this area will be impossible to miss.
